Adam gazed up at the tall, spiraling heights that dotted the horizon. The corners of his mouth twitched upward until he was grinning, his emerald eyes drinking in the sight. The city he lived in had come so far so fast, the streets alive with the sounds of people bustling in the streets or the screams of hovercars whizzing past his head. It was full and rich, details decorating the ornately decorated buildings and the people's clothes as they busied themselves with their daily tasks. It was a wonderous city, and Adam couldn't be prouder than to belong to such a fine ---

I don't know why time ticks on mercilessly,
each beat signaling the passing of that second.
If time were to pause or stop, I suppose
nothing could get done.
A society built on time does not
own time.
It is the pulsing in the veins, a steady stream
filled - far too filled - with life's
wants, needs, desires, chances, decisions.
Life is master over nothing.
Unseen, unfeeling, it slaves away for time.
Time holds everything to a beat,
controlling that which we call "life."
Yet time, in all its unwavering impersonal ways,
is kept sacred, the reason life moves.
A shuffle, a stumble, a gallop, a step -
each measured by the same beat

Ashley looked over the menu, frowning at all the Korean words assaulting her vision. She didn't hate Hangul, honestly she didn't. But if they were eating in a purported American restaurant, she expected to at least see some English words written in English. Instead, she was reading American food in Hangul, such as haembeogeo for hamburger. She only knew it meant hamburger because of the picture accompanying the caption. She sighed in slight frustration, looking over at Henry who seemed to be sharing similar feelings.
He glanced over in her direction, mustering up

The great hulking monstrous beast lurking before her looked ready to swallow her whole. Ashley gripped Henry's arm tightly inside of her own, leaning against him as her eyes stayed glued to the object of her unsettlement. A frown twitched on her lips and she seemed intimidated by the roller coaster that appeared to be miles and miles high from her vantage point.
Henry gave her a comforting pat on the back , his hand rubbing circles. "It won't be so bad. You were excited to ride it earlier; come on, all of us will be right there with you on the ride." He flashed

Sunlight streamed into the uncurtained window, sunbeams splintering off to cover the floor and furniture in shining bright light. The living area of the house was engulfed in sunshine, the day a proposed sun-filled one. In front of the mirror, Amy was finishing touching up her hair and putting on her double-cross necklace. She hummed quietly to herself, a smile lighting her face up as though it were the sun itself.
On the other side of the room a short distance away, Ashley was finalizing putting on her mascara, her heart beating anxiously in her chest. She had her
Ashley felt an object incessantly tapping her on the shoulder. She made a mumbled, half-gargled noise without opening her mouth, wishing the said object would leave her alone. Her mind tried to work out what had happened previously, attempting to return to the world around it. Things were foggy, but as time passed, the fog started to lift, yet the object continued to tap her shoulder with the lightest of touches. Annoyed, she turned her head sharply away and moved her body ever so slightly to escape the object. It seemed to recoil, for a few seconds, but as Ashley refused to move again, the object returned, tapping her more frequently.

The clock ticked obnoxiously loud, counting time as though it was of little consequence, its minute and second hands continuously moving with no restraint. To Amy, the clock had better shut up.
She chewed lightly on the end of her pencil top, staring blankly at the page of Korean homework in front of her, her forehead slightly creased in concentration. The Korean almost seemed indecipherable to her, her mind thinking on something else entirely. Something else that would not stop invading her stream of thought.
Across the room, she heard a muffled grunt and the audible sound of a head lightly hitting the desktop in consecutive amounts. If it

Ashley nodded her head, staring blankly at Henry's back as the quartet trudged down the street at a leisurely pace. The back of his head bobbed with his every step, giving him a suave style of movement that lured the girl to stare at his back almost hungrily, and yet, with a shy gleam in her eyes. Every so often she would turn her head to glance at the stores Henry pointed out, or else she looked to her best friend treading beside her in similar silence. Ashley raised her eyebrows questioningly at her next glance to Amy, trying to raise her attention enough to glance at

Amy could barely catch the Korean words flying above her head in rapid succession. What on earth was happening? Next to her, she heard Ashley moan - a response to slowly coming back to consciousness. She blinked her eyes blearily before glancing up...

Amy and Ashley stared dumb-founded at the man in front of them - correction, the impossibly handsome gentleman in front of their faces. The man of scrutiny and attention merely gave a shy, embarrassed smile, waving his hand in front of him as if to ward off unwanted attention. He didn't seem to be in any hurry, which was odd for a celebrity quite as popular as him. Amy was the first to speak, her Korean all but vanished. "H-Hello," she squeaked out, cheeks turning a rather severe tone of red.
Shiwon's smile never faltered, but instead he dipped his head a little in acceptance of the greeting, his eyes twinkling with almost unwordly beauty. "

So, I went to Animazement 2012, and it was FANTASTIC.
However, I felt really out of place because I didn't really have a cosplay I was doing. The next con I go to (whenever that may be), I want to have several cosplays I would like to do~ I went with three friends, one who cosplayed as Aeris and Integra, one who cosplayed as Gackt, and the other who cosplayed as Liger Zero and Liger Zero Schneider. Why was I lame? D;
Future Cosplays (because we all know most I can't do, but it's nice to dream about them anyway):
Hetalia
- Russia
- Prussia
Shadow Hearts
- Yuri
- Amon
Sola
- Aono
As I think of more, I might add more to here...
I'm still alivvvvvvve. : D
Currently on Spring Break, enjoying time off from student teaching. Go back on Monday. 3 weeks, then graduation, and then - ouch - the real world. xP
I don't have too many new things happening to me recently.
I've been playing Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (1 + 2 + 3) almost every day, and I think I might take a go at writing a fanfiction for it. Poor Soap - the lad didn't deserve it, not one bit.
In other news, I've added yet ANOTHER language to my growing repertoire: Russian. That's right. Russian.
: D
The list, goes, in order from dying to know first:
1. Japanese
2. Korean
3. Russian
4. Mandarin
5. Fren
So. Yeah. Still student teaching, still working hard for no gain~ except experience, but doesn't get you far as your money trickles away because of gas. xP
Anyway, I plan on (time given) revamping the "Foreigner" series - new name, same basic plot, but starting all over, incorporating new details and overall sprucing up the shamefulness of previous chapters (honestly, I wrote like I was in middle school again).
So keep your eyes open for that.
I'd write more poetry but I haven't been inspired for a long while; I think I've fallen out of touch with my muse, and so, sadly, I can't say really when my next poetic work will surface. Just have t
